Thanos Motion Controller

And now no any reactions on a reset button.
My next step?

After activation of bootloader mode, the previous firmware is erased, making space for new firmware. Using the reset button has no effect, until you reload the firmware.
Hi guys. Need a help. I brought a Thanos AMC-AASD15A. When I try to connect it a display look like this:

It's in bootloader mode. Follow the instructions to reload Firmware from github.
Hi everyone, my name is Angel. I have some questions. Currently I have a SFX100 system and I use it with SimFeedBack and Aduino controller, 100% SFX100 project. I want to expand the project with a Traction Loss system and who knows if a belt tension system later on. That means that today I have to make another Arduino and modify many things in profiles etc... and I'm not very computer-savvy Question: If I buy the Thanos AMC - RGB Controller (V1.4) can I add the 5th actuator for the TL and configure it with SimRacingStudio? without more? Thank you

Are you asking if you can use just one actuator (TL) on SRS? Sure. But if you switch to Thanos controller why not connect the rest of the SFX-100 actuators on it? Using SRS along Simfeedback is possible for some games that use UDP, but shared memory games can only work with one motion software at the time. Also you could attach a simple AASD servo based belt tensioner on port 6 or port 7 of the Thanos controller and use it with SRS. Just select the type of platform in the setup of SRS and it will enable it.
Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me with a few problems I'm having with my system.

I have an SFX150 setup with 5 actuators (4 vertical + surge) connected to a thanos board then using SRS for assetto corsa. I originally had the system up and running with all 5 actuators but it would lean to the right while racing (the 2 left actuators would raise more than the 2 right actuators over time). I would get a similar effect in the SRS software when teting motion and even when the slider for tilt left and right (sway?) was in the central position the rig would be at an angle. When I tried moving the actuators via the buttons on the thanos controller they would all work as expected (remaining level when moving up, tilting an equal amount to the left and right when pressing left/right). Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

As a new development today, when I turn everything on the 2 right actuators wont callibrate (i.e. on the thanos display, actuators 1,2 and 5 turn on and change to P, actuators 3 and 4 turn on and stay showing C). I have tried jogging them without the thanos board turned on and they move ok. I have checked the data cables are all connected. I have tried resetting all of the motor controllers and re-inputting the PNxxxx settings. Any other suggestions?
Do the 220v 80st and 90st servo motors use the same AASD15 driver?

I seem to missed this question, yes both servos use same drive with different model in the parameters as they have different inertia values because of the dimensions.
Thanos, I’m attempting to update my firmware to the most recent release on GitHub for my AMC-AASD15 2560 (says PT-Actuator on the case) and the AVRUBD is showing “Connect Success” but then “Too Many Retry!” “Update Fail”

I think I am taking the correct steps, based on the firmware update video and the guide on the SRS website. Any solutions for this? Thanks!

Hi, you should try using another USB cable, and make sure to have installed the FTDI drivers. If the issue persists, you should contact the seller for replacement (the error also indicates manufacturing defect on the soldering of the Atmega2560 chip). Perhaps you can open the controller case and send me some photos of the PCB boards (PM or on my Discord), maybe I can spot the issue.
Thanks for the quick reply. Tried again with a different usb cable. I tried with and without a powered USB hub. Also tried using a different COM port. I believe I have the most updated FTDI, since I installed it last night. I will PM a photo of the controller with the case removed.

New Thanos AMC AASD-15A user here. Just installed the actuators (150mm RS Mega+) on the rig, and did some testing. Due to the location of the actuators (tried to bring the front pair closer to the seat to have the pitch center of rotation closer to the seat, and to maximize pitch angle), the front of the rig hits the floor then I pitch all the way forward. See marked in red in the attached picture.

I could of course solve this by moving the front actuators forward, or limiting the travel of the actuators, but I don’t want to do any of those. Moving actuators would move the center of rotation forward, and limiting travel of actuators would limit my roll, and heave as well as pitch up angle, where I do not have any clearance issues.

So, is there a way to limit the pitch angle exclusively in the pitch down angle, while retaining the full travel, and hence angle, in all other axis?

Using SRS, but could only limit entire pitch axis there, resulting in limiting pitch up angle as well. Unsure if I can set anything in the Thanos AMC?

What you ask is mechanical type issue, not controller related. The controller will manage the actuators to make sure they will extend to their limits as instructed by the software.

If you don't want to limit the travel by moving the actuators on the edges of the rig, you could build a booster platform to add distance from the floor and place the rig on it, allowing larger angles with actuators positioned closer as on your drawing. Most likely you will need to use floor cups to keep the actuators from sliding off the booster platform. I hope that helps.
My PT Actuator system has been working great for about 6 months.
I recently upgraded a usb hub and all hell broke loose.
I cannot get SRS to recognize the controller anymore.
I tried to use the AMC config tool but when I click on the port, it is greyed out.
Please Help

@James Sharkus I just tried it, you are right. The parameter configuration was changed in last firmware to allow better accessibility from SRS motion software. I'll be fixing this to correct it and release it soon. Thanks
