EDIT: I Should have read the overview completly :whistling:
I will send you a PN ;)

First at all: Thank you for your great work!!
You make a dream come true for F1-gamers since Codemasters introduced transfers for their carreer-modes to their games.

But I have one question:
Most Things work completly fine for me, but I can't select "F1 Icon"-Drivers for transfers in Career Standings data over the drop-down-menu, like you did in the video. I "only" have the F1 '22 Drivers, The F2'21 Drivers and "Reserve"-Drivers to choose from.
I tried loading the game and the table new, started a new career, even changed the language of the game, but nothing worked to geht the F1-Icon drivers.

PS.: Yes, I do have own the Champions-Editions. For my own Team, I can choose the Icon-Drivers at the start and at the middle of the season on the regular way for "my team". But I would find it great to fight against Prost and Senna in a McLaren for example

Hi, i'm just curious if you could theoretically use this table to bounce from team to team boosting their Upgrades so teams further behind can catch up better in career mode? I don't really know how to explain what I mean. Like use a cheat table for resource points and instant research and then use this to transfer to lower teams and raise them up evenly. So that career is sort of closer like GP where it's almost spec racing but you know then everyone kind of starts developing on their own. Sorry if this is a retarded question.

Please help me guys, I am playing a driver career on Williams with AI transfers off, so at the end of seasson I will make the transfer that I want (For example Alonso to Mercedes, Hamilton to Mclaren and Ricciardo to Alpine), my question is, Once the transfers are done and I stop playing, when I play again do I have to do something so that the transfers I have made are there? sorry if my english is not good. Ty so much if someone can help me. ^^

While I haven't tried it myself, you're open to try. Technically it might work since, if you want to try it for MyTeam, there should be a post somewhere in this thread on re-enabling driver transfers for it.
So if I want to something like what Aarava did, say, unretire a driver, how do I do that with the transfer table?
Technically you can just transfer a retired driver to a team and they will race for them just fine. And all that the 'Un-retire' script does is simply make them visible to the player in the driver market, as described on the mod overview.

Same as my other scripts, the changes made stay on the save file, as it basically gives you access to the values in your save file that the game has loaded. You might have to force the game to auto-save (Opening RnD screen, Advancing timeline ,Entering a event or changing settings) for the changes to actually be saved, but after that it stays there permanently. That is why I make strong recommendations on having backups because of how volatile and unexpected these changes are for the game. Sometime can and will go wrong eventually.

If I could understand the save file structures better I could probably have the edits be less volatile, but at given time, it is what it is.

Edit: I fixed it.

Great script but I have one small issue. In my career I made a transfer mid-season, removing Schumacher with a reserve and ID swapping with Sargeant. The save isn't corrupted or anything and the season finished just fine, but when I went to use the script post season I can't open the career standings data to actually make the transfer. There a way to fix that?

Is the game crashing whenever you open the standings page or is the script simply not picking up the data ?
I'll assume its crashing, given I encountered it once myself as well, but wasn't able to reproduce it afterwards. So unfortunately I don't really have a fix for it atm :/

I do want to add, that I've noticed a trend with most of the crashes for career mode ending up with it being related to DriverID swaps. BUT I suspect the issue might be reserve drivers themselves and not the DriverID swap, because of how the table handles reserve drivers.
I kind of either need someone else to test this for me, or just find the time myself...
But what I suspect is that since the table currently un-assigns the reservists from their reserve slots during the transfer process it might be breaking handful of things behind the doors... So what needs to be tested is simulating 2 or 3 seasons on 2 fresh careers... In one of them, making DriverID swaps on the RESERVE drivers while in the other save, not touching the RESERVE drivers at all, but instead doing DriverID swaps on F2 drivers.

I am currently in full swing of things of re-doing this table, while also combining it with other tables. ( If anyone is in the EGO Modding discord, you might have noticed me finding some juicy stuff in these past days. )
While I still don't have a release date for it, hopefully it will be within next few weeks with 2020, 2021 ports following. AND with the re-written version of the table, it will make more sense why I'm suspecting that touching the RESERVE drivers is possibly causing issues with saves and driver market.

I was able to use the transfer tool before and now it doesnt work, ive not played f1 in a few months so i dont know if im doing anything wrong can someone help me?

Thanks for reply. So I was near end of season and I opened the transfer table, and for some reason, after Hamilton retires, a reserve driver is taken on despite the big pool of free agents on the transfer market. Is this normal? If I turn icons on, would it make a difference?

It could be that mercs simply didn't have enough cash to sign a new driver so they took one of their reserves instead, as all teams have 2 reserve drivers tied to them, but the current script doesn't transfer them correctly back to their reserve slots, that's why I had the follow up post about reserve drivers and driverID swapping.
But back to the topic, if mercs are running low on money then yes, its normal, just a very rare game occurrence for it to happen.
Enabling Icon's wouldn't make difference since AI teams don't sign/extend contracts with Icon drivers.
