Race report:
Did not start practice with confidence. Was not clicking with the car as I was during the week practice sessions, right until the last minutes of qualifying.
Happy to put it P3, which gave me a good starting position on the inside. Had a good run and got P2.
Tried my best to manage tires and be consistent, while keeping pressure in front and fend off from behind.
A mistake from P1 had me promoted, so I just kept pace for the tires to last.
At one point in the early laps I saw a pink streak run accross the front of me in the second to last hairpin. Unlucky for @Trox, glad he kept it away from everyone! Wishing you more luck for the next one mate!
I pitted early because I thought I was fending off an undercut, but looking back I think I was the first to pit of the leading pack. Made a small mistake that cost me a few seconds.
At the start of the second stint, I tried managing tires again while keeping Chris at bay.
Coming up to lapped traffic, I felt like I was the one parting the red sea, while Chris just went through it and caught up. (no issue with the drivers I lapped, it's a normal consequence of being ahead, I think)
Then it was matter of keeping consistency right to the end, which I'm happy to have accomplished even with a huge blue Mclaren on my rear view.
Great racing in such a staked field.

I think I did ok considering I was pulling shards of Pyrex out of my thumb 20 mins before the race started
Enjoyable race though, couldn’t quite find the pace I had in practice when I was comfortably in the 28s nearly every lap.
Had to start at the back as during during practice I’d managed to open up the cuts on my thumb and spent qualifying making sure I was fully patched up. Steady start, took advantage of the incidents to move up to where I probably would’ve qualified, solid pit stop then lost a couple places in the final couple of laps to guys faster than me when my fronts started to grain a bit.

Wife had surgery last week so I’ve been left in charge of all the domestic chores. Someone hadn’t stacked the oven dishes correctly so when I pulled one out about 5 came out with it and bounced along the kitchen. Picked one up without realising the edge had broken and ended up slicing my thumb open and burying a few loose shards in the cut. All fun and games

Fantastic first round of our British GT Series, once again a huge thanks to Chris for making sure we have these great races and work tirelessly to make sure they are as smooth as possible, top man.
First time on a grid this size for me and I can say it was exciting racing, I made the correct decision to jump back in my Aston for this round, have been using the new Porsche but couldn’t quite break into the 29’s with it, I managed that in my trusty Aston (I’ll never doubt you again) lol,
Made a few errors, missed my grid slot which put me back one space, had an off on turn four, held it but allowed a few cars through, missed my pit box and had to reverse.
With that said though…. The rest of the race for me personally was superb, had a great deal of AM guys on same pace or faster which made for some great laps, having cars to chase and cars chasing me was great fun in a grid of this size. Didn’t manage the points unfortunately but P19 in the end was acceptable for sure. Without my errors I may just have made one more place.
Absolutely brilliant racing and lap times and battles from all the pro guys up front as is the norm with RD ACC competitions! You guys are fast! But I’m getting faster hehehe.
Nice to meet all the new drivers on grid during the practice and race itself.

A note on club rules for incidents
To keep running this series I need to prioritise a few things, it's a bit of a juggling act and being race steward / giving opinions on incidents isn't a hat I've got room for in all honesty. I think it's best if I remain impartial and let you guys deal with any on track incidents by following the club rules please.
*Try and discuss any incidents with the other drivers involved after the race in a friendly manner. If you feel stressed out by an accident then take 24 hours to calm down, review the replays of the incident and resolve it in a mature way via PM. Do not make angry posts about it on the forum. If you cannot resolve the problem then please contact the staff member whom organised your race via PM, sending them an incident report that follows the procedure outlined here.*
I don't want to be added to any on going PMs with other drivers. If something can't be resolved with a friendly PM and an apology then by all means follow the reporting procedure and we'll get it over to the race staff.

@ssc2211 & @Antonpiou are you happy moving to Pro? @Reefabus you were around the cut off for Silverstone, is AM better going forward for you?
From me aswell a big thanks to @SwannyUK / Chris for organizing and getting all things together to make this Club happen. I really hope that yesterday was not a one timer and your work pays off even more.
Like the the other clubs here at RD, organizing such nice cummunity races is a key for making racedepartment a nice place for and about our hobbie.
Also a big thanks to @JohannS for his "livery delivery service"!
To Ricrado for the win and Chris and Magnus for the podium places a well deserved congratulation.
I saw the last laps of the fight between Ricardo and Chris in front of me and it looked awesome. Great racing stuff guys!!
An apologize again to @Antonpiou / Nasos for the contact in lap 1, first hairpin.
As i said before via pm to him, i misjudged the traffic in front of him and that he had to slow down a bit more than usual in the hairpin. So i touched him slightley but this forces him to a spin.
Sad that i got just 1-2 seconds later a big from behind from from a guy who did not brake nothing atall from the big input i felt.
This caught me and Nasos to a second and bigger spin and in result to end of the field.
We than had a nice catch back hunt to the field, with Nasos just 2-4 sec in front of me and doing a good race.
Overall a tough evening, as expected. I missed traction and pace since the beginning of the tests with the Lexus. It got better the last 2-3 test sessions, but i could not get that damn Car up to speed. Driveability and consistency was good, so the feel in the car was not bad. Just missed some grip and speed. Despite that i enjoyed the race, after i reset myself in lap 2.
I made an error for repairing the 11sec of damage during the pitstop, because i saw Nasos flew by again when i left the pits.
The 2nd half saw some nice fights for position and that first place view of the fight for the race win.
Hats off to @Jay Clarke 66 btw.
He let me pass when i catched back the field in the opening laps without trying to block or fight for. I think he saw that i was faster then him and he was very clever to let me go and not to fight for nothing. In the end he gained more than the place he lost i believe, good clever racing mate!

I believe you should keep me AM Chris. I am only fast in Donington and I never drove around Snetterton and brands hatch. I won't mind being pro, just pointing out things

No problemo. Back to slo pro from glam am. I can’t cope with the adulation and attention from the fams anyway.
You can't have the slow pro tag having a top 10 fastest lap, you need to come up with another one lol.
