Sorry for leaving (and venting), this is the worst I've ever driven... even in comparising to the literal first time I've driven the Nordschleife.

The car feels like it has to small off a steering angle, so when I turn it just goes away, braking also resulted in the car wanting to visit the walls. All costing me more then a minute per lap. Somehow I also couldn't drive around how this down shift protection works now with it not allowing you to have any throttle input while downshifting, even though I've never had a problem with it prior to this.

Also missed a race yesterday since my stomach was not happy with some food I ate. All together it feels quite frustrating.

Have fun with the rest of the race!:)

Amazing race guys!! I reccommend you see last lap from Francisco and me, from the exit of pits to the last turn.

My car was simply too safe to drive, it was easy to drive and fairly quick, but it lacked all the speed down the straights where I lost seconds. I really need to start developing a low drag set for the Bimmer, the high wing setup dosent work well enough.
But my real problem was in the dark, I lost so many secs from simply not being able to see and drive and thus making many little mistakes. I dont know how you guys keep your pace up during the dark stints, but I just cant see a thing.

Phew, that was exhausting. I kind of had the wrong idea in my head that the race would be 77 minutes. I wanted to refuel halfway through the race and maybe change the tyres. When Ole wrote 72 minutes, shortly before the start of the race and mentioned a full tank, I panicked, filled the tank and then it started right away. Then, two laps before the end, I came to refuel at excessive speed in the pit lane (drive-through penalty). I guess I didn't understand exactly where the pit lane begins.

All in all, things didn't quite go according to plan. But I probably wouldn't have reached the people before me anyway.

Still a great race! I really liked the changing light conditions.

Great event!

What a race. No Nords without a huge mistake for me yet again.
Quali was ok, lap was actually decent without too many errors until the fast right hander onto Döttinger Höhe where I went mowing the lawn and lost a good 1.5 secs alone. But that meant I was close to the guys in front for single lap pace so I wasn't too unhappy with that. Better P3 than no time set.
Decided I wanted to try a no tire change strategy so went for hards and planned to find a good spot without too much fighting. Start was ok, could stay on the leaders until Jonas attacked wildly from behind (he obviously had like super low wing). Managed to stay ahead the first time but the second he squeezed through. Let myself become a bit annoyed by that and that distracted me enogh to bin it in lap 1 . Luckily I had no or not much damage so I started my hunt through the field. Had some easy clean passes first until I met Roy just before Karusell. Bumped my way through (really sorry mate, I was still fuming, not nice from me :(, I definitely owe you a beer now if you ever come to Switzerland or me to Norway ) and caught up Dan. Could pass him as well and went to catch Hank when I spun a second time. And that was just lap two. From then on I finally found a nice flow with decent pace while managing the tires. The gap was already quite big so it took a while to get him. Stayed out a lap too long as I reached him at a point where I couldn't pass him and lost over 5 seconds being stuck behind. We then both went to pit just behind each other andI nearly crahed into himas his pit was right before mine. Somehow managed to evade last second and finding my pit. He also did not take tires but my stop was shorter (maybe I needed less fuel) and was finally ahead. Came out just behind Jonas and to my surprise I had better pace with my old hards at that point and set up to fight for P4. Just the next lap he pitted (and left, what happened?) so I had a safe P4 and just brought it home.
A pitty for those stupid mistakes. Setup, strategy and tire management was good, at least P3 was possible. But still happy with P4 after all that :)
Grats to Miquel and Francisco, great pace, well deserved.

sorry i had to bail out on this one guys. i was really looking forward to the race, but alas, it was not meant to be...
first, wifey called and informed me that she wouldnt be able to pick up son from school as she normally does, so i had to dash out during qualy to pick him up.
made it back in time for the race, but at the beginning of the 1st lap came around a blind corner to find 2 cars stopped in the middle of the track. could not avoid and ended up hitting one or both cars, sorry guys.
don't know if damage was on, but the car just didnt feel the same afterwards, and i was feeling pretty frazzled at this point. I ended up spinning out a bit farther down the track and crashing into wall as i was trying to let tim pass.

in any event, this all took the wind out of my sails and i couldnt find the spirit to continue on.
i'd like to try this one again sometime in the future.
thanks for organizing.

I wonder if your car was damaged from our earlier incident when i came around corner and crashed into you... sorry about that, i didnt have time to react and avoid. my race was pretty much done after that...
i was even hanging back deliberately on start of first lap to avoid any incidents but still ended up getting caught up in one... some days you're the windshield, other days you are the bug...

No, it acted the same way before it.
The touching of our cars didn't change anything I noticed. I messed up with letting the car engine shut off, so couldn't get out of the way as to not be a giant roadblock... sorry about that.

Francisco is a very good friend, we were on same Discord talking. Both said that in last turn probably both cars will crash

Oh, I did watch it live - and I commented it on the RD Discord as well: "I hope the top two are friends and on the same Discord or something, because that finish was epic, but unless they speak with each other, it felt a bit over the limit" :p Good to hear it is all good, as it was awesome to watch! :D
