Thanks all for joining tonight. A very hard track for me in the Abarth which needed total concentration (not one of my qualities).
Congrats to the podium. Three Abarths in the top 4 is something I didn't expect at all! Great racing!
Next week the chosen track of the month: Road America. The event is set up and you can start registering on Emperor.

Loved this track, had some good fun with Allan last monday. Just couldn't really get in the zone today, from qualy to the race. Although I did a PB in the race chasing Jason
First lap in the race couldn't avoid Steve who was in an upside down position, spinning on the roof of his car. Threw me back to 17th position, but got some places back after passing a few more cars spinning off track. Then followed Colin for a few laps, nice chasing, until he went too wide and I could pass. Meanwhile I had Robert and Wayne and their mazda's growing in my mirrors. Had to work too hard to keep 'em of, and I wasn't quick and consistent enough to keep them behind. Jason was in the mix several times, we played some nice jojo-games, both pushing hard and doing little (and bigger little) errors at the same spots Was nice chasing and defending though, liked that. I was hoping for a better and more consistent pace today, but I just tried too hard and over powered lots of corners. Hard to get rid off that habit .
Anyway, had fun today and monday, really enjoyable!
Not sure if I can make it next week, would be a shame, because it's Road America, a great track! (and would be my first dns since I joined the wednesday races back in november)
Kudo's to the podium, Fulvio with Alien speed again (he lapped me twice in Bram's Mini race last friday) and Andre with mega pace as well. And Allan kicking the Abarth around nicely, cool!

- Happy to feel comfortable again in the Abarth and to see a good mix of both cars on the grid.
- Got pretty lucky on the first lap and was able to get past multiple pile-ups and crashes to find myself on a strangely high position, but by the end of lap 2 things were back to the regular program.
- Managed to stick in 3 overtakes! Well... technically only 2: one of them I've ended up running too wide on T1 and immediately lost the position. Thank you for the nice racing José!
- Laughed out loud seeing Fulvio pull an "Alonso" on the first laps: climbing from last to the top WHILE typing in chat at the same time
- TrueBrake mod installed in my logitech pedals: super happy with it, much more stable braking. Still a lot to learn but at least now the equipment is no longer an excuse.
- Fun track - easy to learn, hard to master.

Yes, I have a server desconection just at the end. It send me to the pits. Not sure why this is happening, as discussed in the chat could be the wifi, so I will buy a cable and try that way.

good times on the track today, truly good fun! even though a false start sent me into the pits for a drive thru penalty, still had fun trying to catch back up. took me quite a long time, but i was finally able to make out jose's familiar yellow mazda in the distance.
jose, you gave me a good run for the money, and not sure if i would have had enough laps left to get past. however, seems you were betrayed by a poor wifi connection and next thing i know your car was speeding off the track into a wall... sorry to see you go off like that, we were having a good battle there at the back!
congrats to the podium finishers, and yes, nice driving all around! thanks han for organizing another action packed event!
looking forward to the next.

A screw up from me from the very start.
Did not do enough practice or setup time is my poor excuse for a poor performance. Jumped the start when i saw a full row of pretty red lights for some unknown reason, then got tangled up in some fairly aggressive action at the first tight turn in which i found it impossible to avoid contact.
I ended up on my roof as someone used their car as a bulldozer to try to remove me from the scene.
When i came around from being hit on the head i found myself back in the pits and with still a drive through to do. Drove a lonely couple of laps where i scrubbed off more speed in an effort to catch up but then pressed the escape button and ended my misery.
All my fault and will put it all right next week at one of my favorite tracks

Thank you Han for another great event and a really nice track choice, quite technical and very well suited to the vehicles we were driving.
However, if this is multiclass racing then I am certainly the class clown My pace throughout the week and practice/qualifying was ok and I was 0.7 up on my PB in quali when I made a hash of the double left hander at the end of the lap so from that point of view I'm content.
I spoke last time about learning lessons. Well, this time I learned not to fiddle with your new button box just as the lights are going out I was pre-occupied with the Pit Limiter - which I had absolutely no need to be doing there and then - and just as I looked up I saw a car moving rapidly in my mirror (Dominic @dbx71 I think who had the mother of all jump starts ) so I panicked and jumped the start myself but of course the limiter was still on so some of you may have noticed there was a car bogged down at the start which thankfully you all were able to avoid.
So, suddenly I was the tail-end Charlie with a drive-through to serve, which left me way behind. From that point on I was pretty consistent and had some fun battles with Jose, Dominic and Ricardo, twice as it happens due to pit stop timings.
Despite the shenanigans, I probably finished where I belonged as I don't think I could have held onto Bouke/Robert/Wayne anyway over a race distance, they were putting in 2:05s late in the race whereas I had dropped into the 2:07s. That's something I need to understand, in every one of these races I've participated in I drop off in pace fairly significantly as the race progresses whilst the guys who I can just about keep up with in practice and quali just get stronger. Killing my tyres perhaps?
Anyway, onwards we go, I'll have to think of yet another creative way to bork things for next time out

well that was a cool race and congrats to Andre for p1 class . lap1 was really interesting managed to gain 10 pos as i was thinking before the start on this track to be hard to overtake but with some luck i made it trought , asked for a restart cause like 8 players of the grid was already half lap far from the leader with a dt for false start or involved in some incident we should make a rule, i saw some server with a plugin of max 13 contacts at the start otherwise server restart the lap. didnt know my pace before 2nd half of the race, i was sure to be on the 35 low-middle by seeing my delta on the practice so i was like maybe i can fight the abarths infront but for sure Andre was going to be an hard task , until i saw my laptime going down to 34 middle and then some laps to 33. ty Han as always for hosting Edit : unlucky Carsten wasnt there to perform a barrel roll for Steve

Another enjoyable race for me, tried to give Fulvio as much grief as I could as he sailed by, ( twice ) but as I stood no chance, he probably did not even notice.
The rest of the race was dodging pile ups and chasing Allan, dressed as a Abarth., basically it was obvious that I needed a mistake, an overtake, even if it was on would have been problematic once I got by. I needed a solid off for a time cushion. Never happened, so a well done to Allan ( cannot believe I said that )
The race was made easy for me because of the unfortunate incidents that occurred, not that I was so impressed with a monumental jump start, truly amazing.
So well done podiums , a special thanks to Han for the organisation, and commiseration to the many drive through and accidents,.

lol. yes, i was also fiddling around with my set up until the last second (really need to stop that), and when i jumped in i saw @gearwhine in front of me jump the start and i also panicked and floored it! oh well, good thing about these 1 hour races is that it is usually enough time for things to eventually fall into order and rhythm. nonetheless, i would have liked to see a restart on this one though, it was just an ugly 1st lap.Thank you Han for another great event and a really nice track choice, quite technical and very well suited to the vehicles we were driving.

as for your times falling off, i don't think it is the tires. they actually hold up pretty well for the entire race. it might be fatigue or fading focus

So three of us jumped the start? I must be the only driver ever to start in the top 10, jump the start and still end up last after turn one though
Yeah, the tyres should be fine, especially with wear set so low in any case. I definitely need to work on it. it's something I do even in offline races. Oh well I'll just have to practice and race some more then
