i have the content dlc car and track but it say its a damage mod
I would look in the manage content tab and locate the mod named "RDGT3BoP@Spa" and delete it. Then it should re-download it when re-entering the server. If the mod has a red cross next to it in the list you can click it and it will tell you if something is missing.

It was a great race tonight...until I ran out of gas. :(

About twenty minutes before the end, I realized that it wasn't going to be enough. From there only 4,5,6 gear. Still wasn't enough. The car came to a standstill at Blanchimont on the last lap.

I guess I wasn't expecting the opening lap. And can it be that the setup menu shows something wrong with the petrol?

But still a great race!

Another question: How about the tire pressure. Is there an optimal level? I heard last, preferably as low as possible. I believe also in this group? Really? Is that so? With every car?

Ah, yes. Never trust the "Car Setup" fuel thingy.
The only fuel calculation to trust is the one that shows up on the HUD when driving, and preferrably after a couple of laps without mistakes!

Sorry that none have thought of telling you before, it's a semi-regular thing we mention on Discord!

The main negative with rF2 is the optimal tyre pressure. Lowest possible is still best.
I am sure there's a bit more to it now that the tyres have been updated, but lowest possible is the best.

Penalty system is a little bit broken, I had 3.00 on Blanchimont that has broken my race, because some laps after I got a notification, try to slow down losing more than 4 seconds and still game put additional 0.75 points on exit Paul Frere turn. More thanm 20 minutes with 4.75!!

Yeah, sometimes the fuel calculation is only an estimate, its one of the reasons why I have a dash running to see the exact fuel consumption. I calculated 4,4 liters pr. lap, went with 100 liters and finished with 1.48 liters left, so pretty much spot on. The pace lap is a counted lap, make sure you put it in safety-car fuel mix mode and stay in high gears until the very last few corners where you set to qualifying mode and start the race.
Yes, tires to the lowest possible, regardless of car, it just generates more grip that way. One of rF2's short commings.

In practice I just wasnt fast enough, in fact I was miles off as i couldnt get the Aston to turn in the slow stuff or stop spinning in the high speed stuff, so I switched to the BMW. Having never driven it before, it was a bit of a gamble, but luckily it drives just like the ACC version - stable, stable and stable. A car that can be pushed, especially in braking zones.
I put on hard tires for the race, knowing full well I was a target for the other guys early in the race if they went softer, but unexpectingly I got a good start and got by Miquel before the first corner. From there I could settle in and while he was close, he was never close enough to challenge so I just focused on my lines. Slowly he and the others faded away and my car just kept chucking out consistent, fast laps. It wasnt until the very end with the drizzle (and two big cut warnings, next one DT) where the tires started to struggle a little that I brought the pace down.
Overall a very good race, very happy with my driving and the field quality too :)

I hear ya, I got a 1.00 for driving 2 inches too wide at Raidillon on the opening lap and a 2.75 for another 2 inches at T9 a few laps later. I know Spa is usually decided by track limits, but this was extreme.

I guess the silver lining is... It is better than it was!

Congrats Jan. I did some small changes expecting some rain and I lost some tenths with that I guess, plus I was sleeping in the start . And soft tyres was a bad option, race ended with less than 10% in front tyre. Too much track temperature when is completely cloudy, I don't understand how rF2 calculate that

Business as usual. Results are up at: https://ommyrvold.net/rdrf2/mar23.html
Click "Races" and "4.Spa" to see the results and stats from tonights event. Especially interesting in my opinion is that top three used three different tyre compounds!

Ugh.
That's on me.
So, on the majority of the tracks we use, the default setting is "Generated", which seems to be the old rF2 way of generating track temps.
If I choose "Real Road" as the track temp setting, it works a lot better.

This is me screwing up. Sorry.

This could have been a fun evening. The car did not feel that bad to drive, though it got a bit twitchy with the full tank of fuel at the start of the race. And for some reason it felt like it lost all downforce and traction when I was cornering close to other cars, I went well wide at Radillon several times because of this, aswell as a spin in Bruxelles a couple of laps into the race.

From there I started reeling in the guys ahead, and after getting past Barnabas and Tim I was also closing in fast on Joe and David who were fighting. I got close up behind them, and again I was to close, so I spun out and hit the wall hard at Les Combes. This hit gave me a lot of damage and bent the steering, so I had to pit for repairs. I opted for soft tyres to try to push a litle bit, and started reeling in the cars ahead once more. When I was being let by Dominic on the little kink after Radillon the car twitched again, sent me out onto the grass to the left, and back across the road to take out Dominic big time :(

That was the point when I retired, in hindsight I should have retired after that hit to the wall about halfway through the race. This is getting really frustrating, as the grids are big and there is always someone to fight with, but all I ever do is putting the car off the road at the critical points... And I am fed up with doing just that in every single possible race lately

NEXT WEEKS EVENT:

I am open for suggestions. We should keep it in tradition the way we do it in regards to multiclass (preferrably S397 Endurance) and single class (preferrably S397 GT3) every other week so it is S397 Endurance that's supposed to be a thing next week.

However - to make an extremely long story short. I have just turned 32 (this week), and last weekend, my one, single relationship that I've had in my life, for 16 years, so over half my life, ended. Not going to bother you guys with much details. We've been friends for 26 years, so our friendship is likely to survive. It's a friendly split. But obviously overload of all kind of emotions. Not the greatest economical times for such things either.
Point being. I am functioning on auto-pilot at the moment. I have no idea for next week for rF2 Friday. This is a day-by-day thing for me now in terms of trying to eat enough to last at work, and then low quality sleep.
Sorry for this, it caused the wrong track temp file thing for the Spa event, I will do my best to avoid that in the future!

EDIT: This is not meant as a "so sad" post either tbh. It's just an explanation for my lack of activity this week compared to the last weeks, and also an explanation for my lower activity for an unspecified amount of time in the future. I will host rF2 Fridays though :)
