Apologies for nudging you onto the grass in race 2, saw how difficult it was to get back on track.
On my end it was almost not touching, the slightest of contact as my rear stepped out a little.
I was behind, but you left me some room but then it tightened up too much during the turn in.

I agree there is no point in having damage on in these races, it just ruins your race if you make a mistake and I do that a lot.

Ah, we have the server skipping practice for the second race, so we went immediately to the 5 min qualy which we often use for a quick break instead to scramble the grid. I normally try and check everyone is ok before we move to the race, but I forgot tonight, sorry.

. Are you chaps finding it regularly impacts your races? I'm happy to try a few races with it on visual only. I normally like to keep it on low to give people an incentive to try and race clean, but it doesn't make a lot of difference with this group as we all try to be respectful to each other anyway.

No worries, I'm still pretty new, still learning. Part of the process. And even though I dislike voice chat while racing, I'll try turning on the Discord next time. I guess there is something to be said for being able to hear "race control"
Having said that, couldn't you tell the server to do 5 mins practice as break, and skip qualifying instead? And/or maybe add an asterisk to the programme that there is no 2nd qualifying?

We could, in fact we kinda used to do that because we would simply have the server rotate with the same P/Q/R settings and then manually skip ahead to the race once everyone had taken a break. The only side effect to doing that is that the positions are maintained from the first qualifying session if you don't let the game complete the second one, so it doesn't allow us to scramble the grid. Ideally, we'd just like to reverse the grid from the race positions, but we haven't figured out a way to do that yet.
I'm open to suggestions on this one. If the majority would just prefer we maintain the Q1 positions, then we can go back to the old rotation and manually skip ahead after a short break. This does work a lot better if everyone is in discord though....
Bloody people talking all the time in Discord... yack yack yack - I think me and Tom are the worst. You can actually mute the comms for the race if it's a bother, and still be able to listen in to pre-race chat and server discussions if needed.

No clue to be honest, a nearby karting center hosts clinics for adults once every week, you get training and feedback during the course of an hour so it's a lot of fun!

No no, I just didn't know that skipping qualifying gave a different result than starting qualifying and not driving. That seems counter-intuitive, but then again, we all know not everything in AMS2 always works as expected
