Mixed bag today.
A big surprise was the pole, never ever did expect to make the front row.

Not that good was the race.
I thought i make again the long game with a late stop. But i think this was the wrong strategy.
The start was not that bad, losing just one position to Andre.
But i quickley got pressure from Chris. I struggled with the rears from the start, the tyre pressure was 0.4 to low, and so had a hard time to find a rhythm and pace. After 2 laps i guess he passed me and quickley moved away.
I settled than for 3rd and should have switched my strategy but did not hear to my spotter. The late stop was way to late as the rear end never felt stable and laptimes were not as expected.
I lost another 10+ sec during the pitstop. The entry was way to slow and i missed the marker by half a meter. So, it was P5 after the stop back on track. The next 2 laps was a fight to stay on P5 until the tyre pressure were right and the car was as good as i would have liked it for the whole race. To late, but better late than never...:inlove:

Congrats to Chris for the win, i think it was a close fight with Andre. Congrats also to Andre and Magnus for the podium, well deserved!
And, as always, a big thanks and  to Chris and RD for hosting and organizing the race and series!

Now on to Barcelona, see you next week!

Good race all, and well done to the chaps on the podium. Bottled quli, didnt get a good clean lap. Had a good start, but had a silly crash with Johann which was 100% my fault lost me time and damage. Another dink later cost me but somehow recovered to p4 by pure luck. Onwards to barca!

That was a thrilling race! I've always liked Nurburgring very much and was expecting a better race then the last one at Brands Hatch, where the car was very difficult to drive. At the smoother surface of the Nurb' the Audi felt great and I was very confortable to push. P2 at qualy was a bit of a surprise, as I was expecting to be somewhere around P5. Had a quick reaction on that start, jumped to P1 and manage to open around 2 seconds to P2 as Oliver and Chris where battling. When Chris overtakes Oliver, he begins to close the gap quickly, and I start to push as much as I can to try to keep him around 0.8 behind me. As I get to lap a slower car, I lost quite some time as the speed difference was not that big. At lap 8, trying to lap the black BMW, I miss a braking point and Chris really gets to my gearbox. I finally get past the BMW and push to the maximum to keep the lead. As we get to halfway mark, I go to the pits and Chris comes with me. We both done good stops and leave the pits the same way we entered: Chris 0.2s behind me. But... as I was entering the pits, I look my tire temperatures and think: "Hmmm.. maybe I don't need to add 1 psi. 0,5 will be enough". And then comes a sudden realization and I remeber a famous phrase by Charles Leclerc: " I'M STUPID. I'M STUPID". Before the race, when preparing the stop, instead of adding 1 psi, I removed 1 psi!! As I head to my pit box, I rush and add 0.5 psi to my values. In the end, I leave the pits 0.5 psi lower then what I started, and 1 psi short of what should be my target. The car got a little wobbly in the middle of the corners but I was able to keep Chris behind in a Sergio Perez like effort until I put 2 wheels on the grass at Schumacher's S and get sideways. Chris gets by and I try my best to keep up with him, but he is just too quick. In the end, I finish 1s behind him and very happy with the result and the fun race. I'm sure this was my best race so far, where the result showed exactly what I could do. Congrats to Chris for the win and thanks for the fair battle!
I'm not sure If I will be able to join at Barcelona, but I'll try my best. See you, guys!

Great race yesterday, fun times, although my race pace was nowhere near prac/quali pace. Managed to invalidate a 55:9/56.0 quali lap by running wide on the chicane exit before the last corner, and ended up in 8th place.
During the race, I collided with Harry in T1 by not checking my mirror/radar (Sorry mate) and losing a 1 or 2 places as a result (Karma). Made an early Pit stop and completely forgot to adjust tire pressures, which led to me re-enacting scenes from Tokyo Drift in the last 15 mins of the race.
Well, sh!t happens, looking forward to the Barcelona race

Crash was 100% my fault buddy, I miss judged my braking and rammed into you. I tried to avoid you but just clipped the back corner :(

Right, almost forgot about that incident :D in Lap 3 (?), No worries! I was actually referring to the incident in Lap 1, you were on the inside into T1 and I turned without checking my mirror :whistling: and caused you to spin.

Yea this was like a domino effect, I ended up being hit as a result which sent my car into Deaz (I think).

Wasn't my best race at this circuit, lap 8 I rear ended Tim. I thought he was defending the inside so I went outside but then he came over breaking hard. I didn't expect it... I accepted the blame on track and didn't take the opportunity to over take.
Sorry mate, you controlled it well on the corner thankfully

Never raced Barcelona do it'll be interesting!

Another cracking race. I didn't quite get the most out of quali so started from P3, no way I was getting near Oliver's mega pole lap.

Got an ok start and settled in behind Oliver. I could tell he was struggling with grip but compared to the Lexus (and the Audi too) I didn't have the straight line speed to pull me alongside in to any braking zones unless I did a dive but I'm not usually a fan of doing that. Instead I pushed in the corners where the Porsche was strong and kept the pressure on. A small mistake from Oliver got me in to P2 then it was full attack to try and catch Andre. I nibbled away at a few tenths but the Audi wasn't hanging about! It wasn't until we came up to lap someone that I got super close as it took a while for the lapped car to move over (something I'm going to be looking in to - blue flags and what we want to do regarding rules for it).

Again I couldn't quite get alongside and when I did get half a shot Andre took a good defensive line leaving me no option but to just keep on his bumper. Entered the pits together, left the pits the same and kept trucking. I forgot to add a click or 2 of PSI so my pressures were a bit naff but I could see they were better than Andre's. A small mistake caused a slide and I went through.

Last round next week then I'll be looking to set up a few races for us to try out the new USA tracks :)

Poor race, know the track but turned up with having not tried or practised it in ACC yet.

I let most of those behind me past into T1 with a poor start and was starting to find some sort of rhythm before I got DSQ for speeding in the pitlane. :( Fun while it lasted but it was definitely a race from the back for me.

Ha thanks, to be honest I couldn't really tell if I had squeezed you so I lifted a little after straightening to see if you would go past, you held back so I figured we just carry on.

Well done to the podiums.

Chris, sorry for having missed the last couple of events, been struggling to be around during the weekday evenings recently with work travel.

Hey guys, hope you are all having a good week so far. I'm hoping to be there for the final round tomorrow. I managed a quick 20 minute practice today to get tyres set but that's it. I've been back and forth from the hospital as my youngest was taken ill. Luckily after 4 days she is responding to treatment and almost back to her usual self. I'm doing the night shift at the hospital with her tonight - hopefully I'll be awake enough tomorrow night!

Thanks guys, hopefully see you on track tonight. No briefing needed for this one, starting track temp should be around 31c with x4 time multiplier so it will drop to mid 20s by the end I would think
