Have been "playing" this for the last 2 days and think it very good fun... Granted it's no Iracing or ACC.
But for a pick up and hack around game or when you just cant be arsed with a proper sim it's well worth the sale price of £20
Agreed. Car list is awesome. I can put a grid together that resembles an SCCA weekend with RX-7s and Spec Miatas (which are fun cars). Or I can recreate an 80's IMSA weekend. Performance is not great (compared to FH4), but good enough.
Plus, I really like the rivals system where you can beat on any car, any track. Not perfect, and I had a LOT of problems getting it to start up early on, but I'm glad it finally worked out.
Really fast cars like the Indycars and F1 are pretty bad, to me. But for GT cars (like the IMSA GTO Mercury Cougar) or the Riley Daytona Prototypes are very fun.
Physics aren’t terrible, graphics are sublime, career is as diversified as my portfolio all in all just good fun.
Finally have my wheel dialed in the FFB is acceptable.
Looking forward to more information on Forza Motorsport 8 specifically FOV adjustment!!
Installed FM7 after a hiatus again and very happy to see FFB is now much less of a chore to get dialed in and Simshaker now has support for it as well!
Been having a blast with this car toybox again these last few days!
For me, there is still a lot I wish the game had, but for what it is, its OK in small doses. There are times where it does draw me in, like when I am making good progress in tuning a car, or racing at a track I enjoy. Just as long as I don't do certain things, all is well.
FM7 is a title I play when taking a break from the norm.
FM7 with tactile is a very nice part of a healthy sim diet.
Also for the VR fans out there, driving using big screen with the proper personal screen settings goes along way into pseudo VR experience. Nice to try if you have not yet.
